Neon Assembly

Description

Our Assembly Department can produce units to meet your specific design requirements. Assemblies. Assembles may incorporate neon, fluorescent or incandescent lamps-or may not use a lamp at all.

The following sections give additional information on the more straightforward types of lamp assembly, butwe welcome enquires for more complex units incorporating other components, p.c. boa rd, special mouldings, etc.

View More Details

1. NEON LAMPS+ RESISTORS:

Assemblies incorporating a wire terminal neon or fluorescent lamp withseries resistor and, if required, extended single conductor lead wires can be produced with butt welded, crimped or soldered joints.

Extended lead wire diameters are O.4mm, and resistor leads are 0.5mm diameter.Leads may be untinned or tinned on request.

Dimmension C and G are customer specified to suit the particular application.

2. NEON LAMPS + RESISTORS + WIRES:

This type of joint can also be used to connect more than 2 leads together.

Assembles with crimped joints can be supplied with lead lengths C and G to customer's specifications, Dimensions 'E' and 'H' are normally 4mm min.

3. NEON LAMPS + RESISTORS + WIRES + INSULATED TUBE:

Fully insulated assemblies can be supplied which incorporate welded, soldered or crimped joints to customers' specific requirements.

The types of resistor and insulating material empolyed will depend upon the environment in which the unit is to be used. In particular, the ambient temperature will influence the choice of materials.

A typical insulated assembly is shown, but many other designs are possible and we should be pleased to investigate specific needs.

Assembly Enquiries - Information Required

In order to quote for assemblies, some form of drawing or sketch is required. However,it is recommended that we be allowed to advise on the design as by so doing costs can offten be reduced substantially. If this is not possible, note should be taken of the comments and dimensionallimitations of the assembly types described in this catalogue and the following information should be supplied with the enquiry:

  1. Neon, fluorescent or incandscent lamp required.
  2. Supply voltage.
  3. Temperature of operating environment.
  4. Lead wire gauge, insulation colour and type (where im po付ant)
  5. Insulation sleevings colour and types (where impo川).
  6. Lead lengths (measured from seal of lamp as per dimensions "C" and "G") and position of joints and resistor
  7. (where critical).
  8. Lengths of bare wire at ends of leads (as per dimension 'l'and 'J').
  9. Type of terminations (when required).
  10. Details of bending or forming (when required).
